For that reason, DxCG created RiskSmart™ Global for risk adjustment and predictive modeling outside of the United States.
RiskSmart Global maps ICD-10 (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision) directly into the well-published, broadly accepted Diagnostic Cost Group / Hierarchical Condition Category (DCG/HCC) classification and modeling system. The DCG/HCC model is the basis for the risk adjusted payment system used by the U.S. Medicare program.
RiskSmart Global Edition also maps the ATC (Anatomic Therapeutic Chemical Classification) pharmacy codes into RxGroups®. RxGroups are widely used for risk assessment in the U.S. and increasingly abroad.
